What is Hypnosis
First of all, hypnosis is a completely natural state every person is familiar with, but it is not always perceived as such. Since the early years Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks and Romans used this state in ceremonies and for healing processes. It was not used as targeted as we are able to do it today, but nevertheless they used it in a very conscious way.
Just like the waking state and the sleeping state, there is a third state for people: hypnosis. Hypnosis is often described as an intermediate state between the sleeping and the waking state. But this does not always apply. There are very active states in hypnosis which the outside perceives as wide awake because a hypnotized person shows emotions, talks, maybe his/her eyes are open or the person moves around even though he/she is in a very deep state of hypnosis.
Problems that may arise, no matter which kind of problem it may be, always originate somewhere in the subconscious mind of people, except for external impacts such as an accident or a poisoning. In any way, sooner or later a person becomes aware of this problem in form of a symptom. But the symptom is only the sign on the outside that something has not been memorized correctly. The aim is, to find the trigger of this symptom in the subconscious mind with the help of hypnosis, to neutralize it and to restore the original natural state.
This is exactly the great advantage of hypnosis compared to other methods, which often work on the conscious mind level and are therefore never ever able to reveal the real causes of a problem. Additionally, hypnosis functions like a turbo to a problem-solving approach.
Hypnosis has scientifically been proven, repeated new studies have shown its effectiveness and have continuously expanded its scope. Epi genetic/neuron flexibility, the influence of our genes and synapsis in the brain even in old age, frequently uncovers new insights. In the past, it was assumed that many characteristics of a person run in the blood, but this position has long been outdated. Even science has been convinced over time that we have greater influence on our daily life than we thought. „Run in the blood“ versus „ learned“, apart from the physical characteristics the rest is subject to change. If the desire to change exists, change can be achieved with the help of hypnosis.
OMNI hypnotherapists use the following definition of hypnosis: „Hypnosis is the by passing of the critical factor of the conscious mind and the establishment of selective and acceptable thinking“. This means that an experienced hypnotherapist on purpose temporarily and actively fades down the part of us that usually consciously keeps us from going into hypnosis. This only works with the consent of the person that is to be hypnotized. Hypnotizing against somebody´s will is impossible one way or another.
It is important to understand that going into hypnosis is as easy as riding a bicycle. Some get on a bicycle and hit the road while others need a little more practice until they are ready to move in the right direction. The same holds true for hypnosis because every person can be hypnotized. Every person is able to reach and use the deep states of hypnosis
We do away with all the current misunderstandings and the half- and untruths of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a wonderful state. Hypnotherapy is an excellent tool to help people deal with their problems and challenges. Hypnotherapy is probably the most underestimated method on the market today. It is our aim to promote the well-deserved breakthrough and recognition of hypnosis.
Our aim is to let people know and make them understand what hypnosis is and what it is not. There lies a huge potential. OMNIs are working on providing the right information on hypnosis to people who are interested.
There are different movements within the hypnosis community. We as OMNIs are convinced that the direct, targeted and output-driven type of hypnosis is the best and fastest way for clients to yield results.
If you make an appointment with an OMNI-trained hypnotherapist please implicitly mention that you would like to work with the revealing methods of OMNI if possible (R2C – Regress to Cause).
Below we are listing a few issues where hypnosis has proven successful. We would like to mention though that people can experience hypnosis differently. Some can enter hypnosis really easily, whilst others it may take some training to really reach the deeper levels such as somnambulism. It is also important to know that no OMNI hypnotist makes any claims of healing or gives guarantees in respect to the outcome of a hypnosis session. Hypnotists also do not diagnose any disease or sickness. OMNI hypnotists are only distantly interested in a client’s symptoms – we are interested to find out what is the real underlying cause of a symptom, but the only place where this really can be found is the subconscious mind of the client. We therefore help the client activate his self-assessment and self-healing powers.
The visit with a hypnotist does not replace proper medical consultation. A hypnotist will not ask you to start or stop taking medication a doctor has prescribed you, nor to interrupt or stop any other form of therapy that you have been prescribed. When in doubt, always consult your physician.
